So the first make do and mend is done, and although not nearly enough people showed up, it was an altogether different type of success. About half way through Nic Dawson Kelly I looked behind me only to see a scouse lad mouthing “he’s great”, then as i scanned the crowd i realized this room was transfixed, people felt they had discovered something, buy the time Kid Carpet had pulled out his first toy guitar the battle was already won.
Some how Rebecca and I putting on this night made me feel as though i’d finally done right, looking at those 80 captivated faces made me suddenly warm and soaked through with happiness….
So roll on April 11th cant wait to feel like that again….
